Complex Care offers a range of specialist support and counselling services to families, children and adolescents.

Counselling services for Children and Young People with Complex needs

• Sessions set in environments that are comfortable, fun and conducive to the development of quality therapeutic relationships
• Sessions incorporate solution-focused and narrative counselling, expressive therapy techniques and psycho-education

Family Counselling and Support Services

• Provide in-home counselling for parents and families
• Assist carers to reframe children’s behaviours in the context of ongoing emotional issues, previous trauma and attachment issues, or lagging cognitive skills
• Training in Collaborative Problem Solving and other evidence-based strategies for reducing explosive episodes or specific complex behaviours
• Assist parents with the development of risk-management plans
