Brad Hodges has been working in child protection and therapeutic roles since 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Brad is a Clinical Neuropsychotherapist through the International Association of Clinical Neuropsychotherapy and a registered (Level 4) counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.
Brad provides individual and group clinical supervision, clinical support to residential and foster care programs and individual therapeutic interventions for children and young people, involving their families, carers and professionals throughout Queensland and New South Wales. Brad engages in regular professional development including attendance at the Melbourne International Childhood Trauma Conference in 2014 & 2016, to ensure therapeutic approaches remain in line with best practice at an international standard.
Brad is passionate about supporting skills development through delivering age/developmentally appropriate psychoeducation to enhance individuals awareness of the neurobiology of trauma, stress and poor attachment experiences, and the associated cycles of maladaptive behavioural and emotional responses, while supporting a therapeutic process aimed at enriching client’s quality of life. Brad offers psychotherapy through creative and informal means to engage children, young people and their families in a therapeutic journey that may otherwise be overwhelming or triggering.
