Jay has worked with families in the UK and in Australia for the past 20 years. Her focus is firmly on helping clients to heal from trauma in a gentle and client focused way. Jay has experience working in the domestic violence sector, with families facing homelessness, in the mediation space working with separated parents facing high conflict and complex needs, with clients experiencing unplanned pregnancies, with children who have experienced sexual assault and in higher education as a trainer and assessor with sector workers. Jay is an accredited Clinical Supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association and provides supervision to sector workers and therapists from many Brisbane organisations. Jay also has a Master of Counselling and is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Child Consultant. Jay works from a strengths-based, trauma informed, feminist framework with a lens sharply focused on child protection and supporting families to achieve their very best. Jay is proud and passionate to be working for Complex Care in her role as Child and Family Therapist providing support to families to make changes in ways which enrich and improve the quality of their lives.
