Following completion of his degree in 2008, Kyle worked independently for the AFL within city schools and greater remote communities across North Western Queensland. Over a period of 3 years, Kyle’s role focused on the implementation and delivery of sporting programs in order to build and develop the code of Australia Rules Football. Within this time Kyle was exposed to some fantastic experience working directly alongside Aboriginal children in communities that had limited access to structured sporting activity. Following his time with the AFL, Kyle had moved into residential care based Youth Worker roles, with Lifeline/Uniting Care Community and Churches of Christ Care, gaining experience supporting young people in the challenges of their everyday lives. Kyle is currently supporting adolescents in homelessness accommodation via an independent living skills program funded by the Department of Housing.
