Maily started her work with children 18 years ago, facilitating intensive early behavioural and educational intervention programs for children diagnosed with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. She went on to support children and young people in a range of roles within the child protection sector, including Residential Disability Support Worker / Youth Worker, Case Manager, and Program Manager. For over 10 years Maily’s primary role has been Training Manager & Consultant Trainer with out of home care agencies. In this time she has designed and implemented a comprehensive TCI embedding program for a national out of home care agency with 250 staff. She has also been responsible for instructional design, assessment strategies, co-ordination and facilitation of: a Certificate IV Child Youth Family Intervention; internal trainer certification workshops; and core induction programs for residential Youth Workers and Case Managers.
Maily has been a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trainer for over 8 years and became Professionally Certified with Cornell University, Residential Child Care Project in February 2011. She is certified to run TCI 6, TCI Families (for Foster Carers), Refresher Training, Post-Crisis Response (for supervisors) and TCI for Developmental Disabilities.
